About

I am the Chopped Liver Mama.  (Because most days I’m as popular in my house as chopped liver.)  But this site isn’t about me.

In August 2012, at 2 months old, the Wee Bear (WB) was in the 87th percentile for weight.  At 6 months, she had fallen to the 57th percentile and was diagnosed via skin prick test with a dairy allergy.  As of 14 months, she is in the 5th percentile for weight.  She has been diagnosed via blood test with allergies to dairy, soy, peanuts, tree nuts, sesame, mustard and chickpeas.  Her allergic reactions include eczema, hives, and anaphylaxis.

This site documents our food allergy journey.  I hope it will be a useful tool for ensuring our daughter maintains a healthy, well-balanced diet, as well as a place to share strategies, resources, and recipes.
